DESCRIPTION:Professor Yves Doz has published path-breaking research on the strategy and organization of multinational companies\, particularly in high  \ntechnology industries\, most notably including The Multinational Mission: Balancing Local Demands and Global Vision\, co-authored with C.K.  \nPrahalad (1987) and From Global to Metanational: How Companies Win in the Knowledge Economy co-authored with José Santos and Peter Williamson\,  \ntwo INSEAD colleagues (2001). The latter book showed how companies can mobilize dispersed knowledge to learn from the world.  \nHis research on strategic alliances has been summarized in Alliance Advantage\, co-authored with Gary Hamel (1998).  \nIn Fast Strategy: How Strategic Agility Will Help You Stay Ahead of the Game (2008)\, Yves considers the dilemma faced by successful  \ncompanies who often become victims of their own success.  Yves Doz is Professor of Business Strategy and the Timken Chaired Professor of  \nGlobal Technology and Innovation at INSEAD.
