As Michigan State Universitys interim president, Teresa K. Woodruff, Ph.D., leads MSUs 168-year-old mission of education, research and outreach. In addition to serving as the universitys chief executive, she also is an MSU Research Foundation Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
Dr. Woodruff will speak about how Michigan State University is leading the region forward through community partnerships and its substantial positive impact on the Greater Lansing region and state.

He previously served as president of the Great Midwestern Ice Cream Company and participated in the Iowa Business and Education Roundtable for five years before switching careers. He wrote the book, Schools Cannot Do It Alone and now speaks nationally encouraging educators, business leaders and community groups to work together to build successful schools. Using his personal transformation as evidence, he shares why there is no greater return on investment of our tax dollars than public schools.
Sharon Traiberman is an Assistant Professor of Economics at New York University. Her research has focused on topics of globalization and trade imbalances and their effects on the labor market and inequality.
