IBCs Global Business Club together with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and U.S. China Business Council are organizing a two-part event series focused on how Michigan companies can tackle the Chinese market. Part 1 of the series will examine the U.S. China Business Councils annual survey, which takes a deep dive into the data and trends in the US-China relationship. We would also like to encourage businesses who wish to OR already do business in China to attend the meeting and give us some feedback on their experience. Part 2 of the series will take place in October of 2021 and will give companies a toolbox to assist with their entry to China – stay tuned for more information soon! The Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan focuses on global issues of interest to the mid-Michigan business community. His work bridges macroeconomics and applied economics with a focus on economic development and growth in Latin America and Asia. He will be presenting Special Deals from Special Investors: The Rise of State-Connected Private Owners in China (available via the link,under working papers) which studies ownership structures of Chinese firms and connections to state-owned firms.

This townhall will feature keynote Amy P. IBC/MSU-CIBER is organizing an international business case competition in the Broad College. The student teams will have 3 days to work on the business case and present their solutions to a panel of industry judges. Each presentation will last for 20 min, followed by 10 min Q&A session. You are invited! $4,000 competition award fund: $2,000 for the 1st place, $1,200 for the 2nd place, $800 for the 3rd place Gain valuable experience and make yourself more marketable (unique line on a resume, topic of conversation in interviews, etc.) Each participant will receive Case in Point: Case Competition book, a great toolkit for case preparation Potential to represent Broad College at the national case competitions Eligibility The competition is open to Broad College undergraduate students Each team must consist of 4 students.
