The Second Annual Conference on Emerging Research Frontiers in International Business will be held on September 16-19, 2004 at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development at Michigan State University. The conference theme will be "Empirical and Theoretical Advances in International Business Research: A Focus on Key Constructs, Metrics, and Theoretical Frameworks." Our objective is to stimulate new thinking and empirical work on key components of the models we test in international business.

The second China Supply Chain Forum promises to be even more rewarding for participants as it probes more deeply into changes and challenges in the supply chain industry in China. This year's theme, Supply Chain in China - the Challenges of Transformation, strives to capture the challenges that the foreign enterprises are facing in the supply chain management during their market entry.

Jonathan Elendu's presentation will focus current events and business climate in Nigeria. He will highlight excerpt from his newest book The Amazon Takes a Bow.
This full day conference will present expert analysis of issues and trends in international trade, with breakout sessions to examine trade impacts on the environment, human health and economic development. The conference will focus on Trade and Economic Development, featuring speakers from a variety of governmental agencies and corporations.
Mr. Sjoberg's presentation will outline how to build and grow a foreign subsidiary in Michigan (SSAB is located in Mason, Michigan). It is a story of a Swedish company coming to the U.S. in 1997 (Sweden is ranked #3 on global competitiveness in the world). He will touch on reasons why SSAB selected Michigan as its location, along the way discussing the initial groundbreaking to the finished plant to quadrupling in size in the last five years.
"Building Successful Global Brands" - presented by Tim O'Donovan, CEO and President of Wolverine World Wide, Inc. Mr. O'Donovan will provide insights into the challenges and rewards associated with building strategies and global brands for Wolverine World Wide Inc.
