The first three IDEB workshops, held at Columbia University in 1999, The Ohio State University in 2000, and The University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001 demonstrated the growing interest among Ph.D. students in international research - with approximately 90 participants from 35 - plus schools across the country who engaged in discussions and seminars with leading experts in international business. The 2002 IDEB conference will be held at The Ohio State University.

Globalizing Business Schools Program developed by CIBERs at Memphis Michigan State, Indiana, Wisconsin, Kansas, Florida, Georgia Tech, and Texas A & M and the Institute for International Public Policy (IIPP) starts out with the first workshop on Best Practices/Grant Writing in New Orleans, 22-23 November 2002.
