This past year Mr. Elliott was honored for his work when he was selected as the Top Cop of Ohio by the National Associations of Police. He received the Federal Investigators Investigative Excellence Award from the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, the Distinguished Service Medal from ATF, the Directors Award from the Executive Office of US Attorneys.

Strategies, Challenges and Opportunities" was sponsored by Malta External Trade Corporation and featured primarily senior business executives; over 400 business practitioners attended the conference. Professor Cavusgil, Executive Director of MSU-CIBER, presented a talk on realistic global marketing strategies for companies.

Xavier Martin, Assistant Professor of Management and International Business at the Stern School of Business, New York University presented a research seminar titled "Gaining From Vertical Partnerships: Knowledge Transfer, Relationship Duration and Supplier Performance Improvement in the U.S. and Japanese Automotive Industries."

The weekend of the conference is filled with stimulating debate as well as social activities and an opportunity to interact with other students from around the nation. We feature specialized committees and crisis simulations as well as a General Assembly.

The program features a three-year sequence of activities designed to internationalize business education on the campuses of the nation's HBCUs. Two classes of about ten HBCU institutions will participate in the program.

The ten day faculty study abroad program offered in conjunction with the University of Antwerpen is designed primarily for faculty from business, foreign language, and area/cultural studies. Participants are exposed to the latest developments in European business/economic issues to develop an increased understanding of today's European Union (EU).
