Onsite Workshops 2006-2007
Onsite workshops bring members of CLEAR's professional development staff to K-13+ institutions across the country. Workshop topics include both methodology and technology-related areas, and are tailored to the host institution''s specific needs and requests. More information can be found by checking out the link.
Summer 2007 Study Abroad
MSU-CIBER started and manages all business study abroad programs for the College of Business. The summer 2007 offerings include nineteen programs on four continents, including the Stuttgart, Germany, program that places students in internships with such companies as DaimlerChrysler and IBM. Students may choose from faculty-led and traditional study abroad programs. MSU-CIBER awards study abroad scholarships each spring for summer programs.
Summer Workshops
Every summer since 1997, CLEAR has offered professional development workshops. Teachers of all levels, especially K-12, from all over the country (and internationally) have come to MSU's campus for these practical, informative and timely courses. The range of workshop topics includes both skills-based workshops and sessions on how to incorporate technology into the language classroom. The summer 2007 offerings have not yet been determined, but updated information will be published soon.
The Fourth Facing East/Facing West Conference: A Multidisciplinary Conference on North America’s Relations with China and South Asian Countries
Hosted by Western Michigan University, this conference will provide a forum to discuss business, social, legal, economic, and political issues concerning North America's relations with China and South Asian countries. The forum welcomes multidisciplinary and multicultural presentations and discussions. The conference is co-sponsored by Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business and the Haenicke Institute of Global Education, and partially supported by Project SACEP.
Global Management Accounting Research Symposium (GMARS)
A Research Symposium that Rotates Annually Around the World: Copenhagen Business School, Michigan State University, and University of New South Wales. GMARS aims to promote a "global village" of management accounting research by bringing together a diverse set of the highest-quality research papers, plenary speakers, and researchers from around the world. GMARS will provide a broader appreciation and understanding of the many theoretical perspectives and research methods that are used to study management-accounting practices.

The NASBITE CGBP provides a benchmark for competency in global commerce. For candidates experienced in international trade, the certification confirms that knowledge. For candidates just beginning, it establishes a professional development goal to ensure a full understanding of the profession. For companies, it assures that employees are able to practice global business at the professional level required in today's competitive environment.
