Lansing Economic Club's annual Healthcare Forum featuring a joint presentation from the Mayo Clinic and Sparrow Health System
Presentation byDr. Mary Sue Coleman, President, University of Michigan
In conjunction with the U.S. Commercial Service and the Regional District Export Council, the MSU International Business Center-CIBER is pleased to offer this 2-day forum to meet with high-ranking U.S. trade officials, U.S. commercial diplomats posted at U.S. Embassies abroad, and international business leaders from the private sector. Included in the forum are high-profile speakers, interactive breakout sessions on doing international business, a networking reception, and opportunities to share best practices with U.S. exporters. Registration also includes the opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with representatives from 18 different FTA countries.
This is a unique opportunity, and wont be repeated in the near future. Take this opportunity to join us!
The primary goal of this session is to introduce participants to globalEDGE.msu.edu, the #1 international business resources site on the Internet (Google, 11/19/13). Participants will learn about the site and how it can help SBDCs, their staff, and their clients to better understand issues in international trade and business. After attending this session, participants should be knowledgeable about globalEDGE as an international business and trade resource and able to use the site for their own research, as well as direct clients to relevant portions of, and resource listings on, globalEDGE (according to client needs). Examples of such information might include trade contacts in each state, Diagnostic Tools, exporting tutorials, the online module series (especially the Basic Guide to Exporting modules), and trade statistics and cultural information on over 200 countries.
Research seminar series hosted by Applied Economics and MSU-CIBER brings Xavier Gine, World Bank to give a seminar on Markets, Contracts and Uncertainty: A Structural Model of a Groundwater Economy.
