The Lansing Regional Chamber Economic Club is dedicated to promoting and stimulating economic growth through timely and insightful community forums presented for personal and professional development. The Economic Club provides a forum where local business and community leaders can hear presentations on a broad range of business-related topics. Past presentations have ranged from how global economic trends affect the national and local economy, to hearing how leaders from different walks of life have achieved their success and view of the future. The Honorable David W. McKeague, 6th Circuit Judge, U.S. District Court, will speak.

April's speaker is Congressman Mike Rogers from Michigan's Eighth District. The title of his talk is, "The Global Economy from a Federal Perspective." The Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan focuses on global issues of interest to the mid-Michigan business community. In this role, the GB Club is dedicated to supporting global business growth of the State of Michigan and its diverse manufacturing and service organizations. The monthly GB Club luncheons provide outstanding speakers and relaxed networking opportunities.

Jim Zook, General Manager of U.S. BioEnergy, will present at the March luncheon. The title of his talk is "Ethanol Basics."

This forum is meant to highlight the ever-growing information technology field in India, especially to those in the business field. With the rapidly growing economy of India as well as their escalating presence in the field of information technology, we feel that it is imperative to conduct an informational conference to educate others about the prevalence of India in IT. Our goals of the forum are to promote awareness about innovation and IT, services management, and job opportunities in the United States and India. Representatives from companies worldwide are attending this forum in order to network and gain insight for their companies. This forum is open to students, faculty, and professionals from a wide variety of career fields. The Michigan State University India Information Technology Forum will take place on Friday March 16th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Kellogg Center.
