Offered in partnership with Community Colleges for International Development, the International Business Institute on the Road workshops offer an abbreviated version of the flagship International Business Institute for Community College Faculty (IBI) that is offered biennially in East Lansing. The aim of the IBI is to provide participants with the knowledge, experience and resources they need to internationalize general business courses and/or develop specialized international business courses at the two-year college level. Since 1995, the biennial conference has given participants the opportunity to explore new ways of incorporating international components to their curricula as well as network with peers from across the nation.

World Languages Day is a free, all-day conference for high school students, teachers, and parents. The event bringsover 500 participants, presenters, and volunteers to campus for a conference on world cultures and languages, globalization, the importance of learning foreign languages, and the positive impact knowledge of other languages can have on future career paths. High school students, parents, and teachers from across the state come to learn more about Michigan State University and the myriad international opportunities it offers. Participants choose from 75-85 sessions taught by MSU faculty, graduate students, and community members on topics includinglanguage, culture, globalization, and general information about MSU.

Each year high school students in southeast Michigan engage in an intensive, three-day, hands-on virtual learning experience that simulates an entrepreneurial and business international trade mission. Through this extraordinary opportunity, awareness is created around exciting careers in entrepreneurial and international business in high-tech industries; many in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.
