Tevfik Dalgic, Professor of International Marketing and Strategy at the School of Management of the University of Texas at Dallas, will present a research seminar titled "Ethnicity and International Marketing."

The 5th Biennial International Business Institute for Community College Faculty is a unique professional development program designed specifically for community and technical college faculty. The Institute is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, experience and resources they need to internationalize general business courses and/or develop specialized international business courses at the two-year college level.

The CIBER Globalization Seminars are designed to help business faculty bring international context into the classroom and to expand teaching and research skills.

Since 1990, a consortium of organizations has offered a luncheon speaker series under the auspices of the International Business Forum (IBF) targeted to local academics, public policy makers, and the local business community. The IBF has now become The Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan, with a newly developed focus on global issues of interest to the mid-Michigan business community. The GB Club is dedicated to supporting global business growth tied to Michigan and its diverse corporations. The main activity of the GB Club is the luncheon speaker series.

The 1st Annual Broad China Supply Chain Forum will be held on November 8, 2003 at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. This is the first time that an international forum with the dedicated focus on China's supply chain development is held in the Midwest. Over 400 attendees are expected from throughout the Midwest and the rest of the country.

Tourism is one of the largest and most dynamic economics sectors. It is also well established as the largest generator of wealth and employment in the world. Tourism is playing a vital role as the economic engine for developed and developing economies worldwide. In this presentation the author analyzes the direct and indirect tourism policy of European Union and also examine the EU Tourism Policy areas and tourism activities.

Over the last several decades, an unprecedented trend has appeared in the fields of animal and human health: approximately three-quarters of all new human diseases have come either directly or indirectly from animals. These diseases range from Salmonella to Foot and Mouth Disease to last winter's deadly outbreak of SARS.

The Broad Graduate School of Management at MSU is dedicated to continually advancing practical knowledge in the field of global supply chain management. Professor Closs is one of the key members of this effort; he will focus today on products suitable for China sourcing and the application on comprehensive techniques.
