Tenth Annual World Languages Day: There are sessions ranging from Vikings to vinyasa yoga, teen life and language in France to Tamil-speaking teens, from Hangeul to Hamlet. A video greeting will be delivered by MSU President Lou Anna Simon at the opening session, and the plenary will be given by Nathan Bynum, an MSU alumnus and current Japanese language teacher. Nearly twenty organizations will be hosting information booths as well, which participants can visit during the morning to obtain information about specific language programs, departments, and colleges, admission to MSU, financial aid, study abroad, and numerous other campus units.

Dr. Jang currently serves as a member of the board of directors and executive committee of Global Corporate Governance Academic Network, which is supported by the Global Corporate Governance Forum of the World Bank. In this presentation, he will speak on the impacts the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis had on Corporate Governance.
Nitin Pangakar from the National University of Singapore will talk about determinants of joint venture performance. He hypothesizes that there are three broad categories of factors that affect joint venture performance: location-specific factors; parent company characteristics, and characteristics of the joint venture (child) itself. In his presentation, Nitin will discuss the data he's collected and what his analysis revealed.
