Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan: Medical Technologies: Growth Strategies for the Global Marketplace

Speaker Stephen Rapundalo, Phd, President & CEO, MichBioThe Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan is proud to offer its first program in conjunction with MichBio, focusing on the opportunities and unique considerations for exporting medical devices around the globe. This event will cover an overview of the medical device industry, different approaches to market entry, and regulatory and supply chain issues. In addition, a panel of global businesspersons will discuss their experiences selling internationally. This event is for new and experienced exporters, as well as anyone with an interest in the industry from an international standpoint. Note that this is an afternoon program; cocktail reception for participants is 5-6pm.The Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan focuses on global issues of interest to the mid-Michigan business community. The monthly GB Club luncheons provide outstanding speakers and relaxed networking opportunities. With extensive international experience, the speakers wrap personal insights around a practical and up-to-the-minute approach to conducting international trade.

World Languages Day

World Languages Day is a free, all-day conference for high school students, teachers, and parents. The event bringsover 500 participants, presenters, and volunteers to campus for a conference on world cultures and languages, globalization, the importance of learning foreign languages, and the positive impact knowledge of other languages can have on future career paths. High school students, parents, and teachers from across the state come to learn more about Michigan State University and the myriad international opportunities it offers. Participants choose from 75-85 sessions taught by MSU faculty, graduate students, and community members on topics includinglanguage, culture, globalization, and general information about MSU.

The 2nd Annual Interdisciplinary Conference on Cybercrime

East Lansing, MI Chicago

This event is designed to bring researchers from the social and technical disciplines together to generate discussion and collaboration that will improve our knowledge of cybercrime and the policy response to this phenomenon. The conference will utilize a TED Talk style structure, where in a 50-minute panel two speakers will have approximately 20-25 minutes each to present their work and ideas at a high level.
Each session will feature a social and technical researcher to promote synergy.
