The Advanced International Business Institute (AIBI) for Community College Faculty is a unique faculty development program. It is designed for community college faculty who have previously attended international business faculty development workshops, seminars, or conferences, as well as faculty who bring previous international business experience to their classrooms, and international business program administrators.
Topics to be covered in the AIBI include: classroom tools and course development, developing and maintaining IB programs, and best practices in IB integration. The AIBI will also offer small group breakout sessions for faculty to tackle and resolve their own IB challenges and concerns.
Michael Dell, born in February 1965, is the chairman of the Board of Directors and chief executive officer of Dell, the company he founded in 1984 with $1,000 and an unprecedented idea - to build relationships directly with customers. In 1992, Mr. Dell became the youngest CEO ever to earn a ranking on the Fortune 500. Mr. Dell serves on the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, the executive committee of the International Business Council and is a member of the U.S. Business Council. Mr. Dell also serves on the U.S. President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, the Technology CEO Council and the governing board of the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, India.

This special interest group of the AMA has a long history of partnership with the annual UIC Marketing and Entrepreneurship Research Symposium. At this year's Research Symposium, we are instituting a consortium for doctoral students to encourage and guide students who are considering or are researching the intersecting domains of marketing and entrepreneurship.
Doctoral students selected for the consortium will have their Symposium fees waived, have complimentary meals during the official portion of the Consortium and the Symposium, and have a portion of their hotel expenses subsidized.

The CIMaR 2008 Conference will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 18-21 June, 2008. It will be hosted by NUPIN, the Center for Research on the Internationalization of the Firm at the Coppead Graduate School of Business of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and by IAG, the Business School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
