A 5 day virtual journey of discovery through India on FIU & BYU CIBERs first virtual PDIB (Professional Development in International Business). This program is specially designed for faculty, doctoral students, and professionals interested in developing a greater understanding of the complexities of doing business in one of the worlds largest emerging markets. We will investigate the intricacies of navigating business post Covid-19. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and connect with top executives from several industries across the cities of Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi. The upcoming Lansing Economic Club will be held on Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to noon and feature virtual face-to-face networking before and after the program. The Lansing Economic Club will welcome Dr. Edward Montgomery, president of Western Michigan University. Dr. Montgomerys keynote address, Rethinking the Workforce: Higher Education Must Prepare Change-Ready Professionals, will provide an economic outlook for the new year. He will also discuss the changing nature of work and the kinds of skills needed as businesses forge ahead into the next decade.

China wants to be taken seriously as a global player but is often seen as disregarding global standards and norms. How can these two superpowers find common ground? This program is organized as part of our China & The World program series, organized in conjunction with MSU Asian Studies Center and MSU Office of China Programs. The Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan focuses on global issues of interest to the mid-Michigan business community. The monthly GB Club luncheons provide outstanding speakers and relaxed networking opportunities.
